We provide collaborative, personalized psychiatric services for adults at our offices in Portland, Brunswick or via telehealth. Psychiatric evaluation and diagnosis Our psychiatrists begin treatment with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation to provide an accurate diagnosis and treatment options. They will ask questions about your mental health history, current symptoms, and any past or current medication or treatment. Your psychiatrist will work closely with you to determine treatment options that fit your individual needs.
Medication management For many mental health conditions, medication is an important and effective part of treatment. Our team of psychiatrists are experienced in prescribing and managing medications for a wide range of mental health conditions. Your psychiatrist will work closely with you to ensure that you receiving the most effective medication for your sypmtoms.
Collaborative psychotherapy The Center for Psychiatry is a part of Psychology Specialists of Maine, a leading provider of evidence-based psychotherapy services. Our psychiatrists and psychologists work together to offer effective, personalized mental health treatment. We offer a range of psychotherapy services including individual, couples, and group therapy.
Fees
Our psychiatrists are in network with Anthem, Harvard Pilgrim, Maine Community Health Options, and United Healthcare. For patients using out of network insurance benefits, we will provide a “super bill” including all of the information required by insurance companies for for you to receive out of network reimbursement. Our fees may vary based on individual needs, but typical fees are listed below.
