The Psychology Specialists of Maine Center for Relationships is Maine's leading center for couples therapy, relationship education, and Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT). Directed by Andrea Medeiros, Ph.D., our team includes certified EFT therapists and advanced EFT clinicians who specialize in helping couples strengthen connection, repair trust, improve communication, and navigate relationship challenges.
EFT is the most researched and effective approach to couples therapy, with decades of evidence supporting lasting relationship change. As Maine's largest training hub for EFT therapists, we are committed to providing exceptional relationship care through couples therapy, couples intensives, Hold Me Tight® workshops, DBT skills groups for couples, relationship education programs, and online learning opportunities.
We offer services at a variety of levels to meet the diverse needs of couples seeking support, growth, and deeper connection.
Please note that relationship services are not billed through insurance. In couples therapy, the relationship itself is the focus of treatment, and most insurance plans do not reimburse for services when there is no identified individual patient and mental health diagnosis.
