About Me

The focus of my practice is on establishing meaningful therapeutic relationships with patients seeking to explore their problems in living. Through a relational and integrative approach, I focus on the thoughts and feelings that emerge in the therapeutic relationship to elucidate and interpret the challenges patients face in the wider world.

My psychodynamic perspective helps patients clarify and contextualize current problems in living, discover the contributory antecedent events and developmental experiences, and work through unconscious conflicts that defend against growth and re-enact dynamics from earlier life stages.

More About My Practice

My clinical experience has demonstrated how remarkable improvements and symptomatic relief are possible with psychotropic medications but my experiences have also made clear the limitations and risks associated with their use. My approach to psychotropic medication and prescribing is influenced by my psychodynamic orientation and I focus on meaning making in regards to both psychiatric symptomatology and psychopharmacology.

Using a telehealth platform, I provide the following types of psychiatric service for adults ages 18 to 60:

  • Psychodynamic psychotherapy

  • Psychodynamic psychopharmacology

  • Psychotropic medication supervision

  • Psychiatric diagnostic evaluation and consultation

Please note that due to telehealth policies, I do not prescribe any controlled medications.
