About Me

My therapeutic work with clients is centered on helping them find meaning through action, and purpose through deepening presence in their daily life and relationships. I partner with my clients to help them find a path toward wholeness and empowerment, moving through and beyond narratives of brokenness and limitation. My therapeutic style is dynamic and engaged, and my central focus for clients is to help connect them to their humanity, strengths, avenues of action, and discover growth that is achievable and real.

More About My Practice

I primarily engage with clients from a “third-wave” CBT perspective, using methods such as ACT and mindfulness-based approaches. My theoretical approach with clients is also strongly shaped by existential, spiritually-integrated and liberation perspectives. I care deeply that the space created with my clients is built on respect, kindness, direct communication and trust. Working flexibly and collaboratively, I will take into account and honor all of the components of who you are and how you live; including your relationships, personal values, identity processes, physical symptoms, spiritual life, and connections in your communities.

My Specialties

I specialize in evidence-based and integrative treatments for mood disorders, sleep challenges/insomnia, healing pathways after trauma, navigating life transitions and loss; and many years experience working with active military and veterans and their families, as well as those in public safety/first responders. In addition, I specialize in helping people working in the arts, as well as clients finding avenues to use artistic expression for processes of growth and healing. I have experience in community-based settings, counseling centers, hospitals, and private practice. My experience with group therapy includes facilitating process-oriented groups, groups co-facilitated with medical providers, as well as many structured groups, including ACT, CBT for Insomnia, and evidence-based treatment of PTSD.
