About Me

I am a seasoned clinical psychologist and psychiatric nurse clinical specialist with decades of experience.  My passion for helping people began as an OB-GYN nurse practitioner in the heart of Vermont at a women’s clinic in my earlier career. This early experience fostered a strong orientation to view women and their families ecologically with a whole person lens. We are not just our symptoms or our diagnosis and our mental health and physical health are very important to me.

More About My Practice

I approach therapy with humility as a collaborative and supportive process to help individuals feel safe and empowered to learn new, adaptive ways to relieve emotional distress, to practice emotional regulation skills to cope with the curve balls of life, to create secure, authentic attachments, and grow as human beings.

I have training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, Trauma Focused Therapy (TFT), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Processing therapy (CPT). I have worked in a leadership capacity in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals, clinics, schools and university counseling centers.

My Specialties

My specialties include the treatment of trauma related issues, anxiety and depressive conditions, young adult identity formation, life transitions, women’ health, relational conflicts, addictions and grief and loss. The role social media plays in impacting our wellbeing, relationships, and self-concept is also a theme I frequently address with clients.
