About Me

When I reflect on my work in the field of professional helping, I find myself inspired by the strength and endurance displayed by people, both before starting and during therapy. Although many who enter the therapy space are living with hurt and enduring hardship, it is my belief that there is a more fulfilling life waiting to be created and discovered. I am passionate about providing effective therapy, which begins with openness and curiosity as we identify struggles you feel ready to explore.

More About My Practice

My approach to navigating the therapy space with you is collaborative and integrative in nature, utilizing a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches that are aimed at meeting your specific needs. Although firmly grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I utilize skills and language from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical and Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused approaches. Additionally, I am competent with Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma and Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP) for obsessive compulsive disorder.

While I may be the professional guiding you, I consider you the expert on yourself and how we are going to effectively achieve change that fits into your life. I believe critical components of therapy include active participation from clients, focusing on strengths, values, culture, and client feedback.

My Specialties

I have a particular specialty in working with college students, young adults, and middle-aged people. However, I also have extensive experience working with adults across the lifespan. I am passionate about working with those who manage anxiety, depression, trauma, suicidal thoughts, life transitions/adjustment issues, and job/academic distress. I also have experience working with those managing obsessive compulsive disorder, substance use struggles, identity concerns, relationship struggles, and grief.
