About Me

My primary aim in working with clients is to create a safe space to ensure clients feel supported throughout their progress toward goals. My greatest gratification as a therapist comes when clients recognize and use resources they may not have known they possessed to make changes that help them grow and achieve desired outcomes.

More About My Practice

My style with clients is warm and collaborative with a touch of humor.  Together, we will create a treatment plan that is individualized to you and your needs.  My theoretical underpinnings to therapy are based primarily in the CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) approach combined with interpersonal, psychodynamic, and feminist/humanist approaches.  Treatment typically involves examining those thoughts and behaviors contributing to life difficulties followed by interventions intended to shift these dynamics to preferred results.

My Specialties

I have been a psychologist for over twenty years with experience in private practice, university counseling centers, and academia.  I enjoy working with individual clients, couples, and groups.  I am a strong generalist, and I am comfortable working with adults presenting with depression, anxiety, adjustment concerns, grief, and relationship concerns.  I also have extensive experience treating eating disorders and sexual trauma.
