About Me

My focus in therapy is to create an active, collaborative space where clients are empowered to define their goals for treatment and we work together using our individual and shared knowledge and strengths to develop the best path forward. My approach emphasizes open communication, mental and emotional flexibility, championing identity as a strength, and an orientation towards understanding processes rather than using static “solutions”. I often focus on helping clients connect with their values, with the understanding that greater congruence between values and actions often leads to a greater sense of fulfillment, meaning, and satisfaction as well as more capacity to cope with difficult circumstances. My work is grounded in the reality that our contexts (many of which we have not chosen) have a significant impact on our lives.

More About My Practice

My clinical approach is built on providing client led care that integrates frameworks and strategies from evidence-based psychotherapies, including Community Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a strong emphasis on the roles of identity, context, and systems.

Additionally, I am trained in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for trauma and Inference Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) for OCD.

My Specialties

I specialize in working with adults who are seeking therapy for ADHD, identity development, anxiety, OCD, trauma, and difficulty in interpersonal relationships.
