About Me

Clients feel comfortable, safe, and empowered in our work together. I provide space for clients to reflect, connect, and also consider how oppressive structures may be contributing to their distress. In addition to attuned and skillful therapy, I am committed to attending to the socio-political context that shapes individuals' experiences and the role of power dynamics in mental health.

More About My Practice

My approach to treatment is grounded in humanistic, psychodynamic, and solutions-focused therapy. I prioritize practical problem-solving and helping clients use their strengths to identify effective solutions to challenges. I believe that clients are experts on their own lives and have the inherent capacity to find solutions that work for them. My role as a therapist is to support and guide them in this process.

Cultural responsiveness is a crucial component of my work as a psychologist. I understand that culture shapes our experiences and beliefs, and I strive to honor and respect the cultural backgrounds of my clients. I work to create a collaborative, culturally sensitive space where clients can explore and navigate the intersection of their cultural identity and mental health concerns.

My Specialties

I have specialized experience working with college student populations and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, adjustment, stress, and substance use disorders. I prioritize creating a safe and welcoming environment where clients can feel seen, heard, and validated in their identities. I am also committed to providing LGBTQ+ affirming and gender-affirming therapy, as I recognize the unique challenges that members of these communities face in seeking mental health care.

Overall, my approach to therapy is founded in empathy, collaboration, and an unwavering commitment to empowering my clients. I believe that every individual has the potential to thrive, and I am honored to support my clients in realizing their full potential.
